How It All Started

A few years ago I was visiting friends in the States.
We were sitting out on the porch one evening and the day's heat dropped. Bill, my friend's Dad, said he needed a sweater.
He returned wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with large arched vivid scarlet lettering stitched across its front.
I commented on how cool he looked and asked "what school is that?"?
"Yeah, thanks" he said, "It's my old high school in Hoboken. Got this in my last year, my basketball sweater. I was 18, just before I went to war."
"You mean that sweatshirt is nearly 60 years old?!"
"Yeah" he said. "Pity they don't make 'em like this anymore..."

The idea has taken some time to develop - but now STL has found the best manufacturers for both our tackle twill lettering and the heavyweight 100% cotton sweatshirt fabric - so we can produce a long-lasting garment.
